TURISMO EN VENEZUELA
Nuestro país es un lugar idóneo para realizar turismo ecológico ya que contamos con una naturaleza muy diversa conformada por playas, montañas, llanos, selvas, lagos, ríos, médanos, fauna y flora exótica. Si usted se considera un turista ecológico que siente la necesidad de librarse del estrés y el hacinamiento de las grandes ciudades, pues no deje de visitar algunas de las zonas ecoturísticas venezolanas en donde podrá estar en contacto directo con las riquezas de nuestra naturaleza.

Todas aquellas personas que poseen sensibilidad por la naturaleza y conciencia ecológica son los que se sentirán a gusto con los distintos destinos ecológicos que ofrece esta tierra de gracia.
Venezuela es uno de los países más avanzados en materia de conservación de recursos naturales, más de un 40% del territorio venezolano se encuentra en condición de zonas protegidas, refugios y reservas de agua, monumentos naturales y reservas forestales. Nuestro país cuenta con cuarenta y tres parques nacionales, veinte y un monumentos naturales, varias reservas forestales, seis importantes biomas: los llanos, la selva, la Gran Sabana, los Andes, costa y zona xerófila, y más de veinte y cinco ecosistemas.

Entre los destinos ecoturísticos más importantes de nuestro país están Los Roques, isla La Tortuga, Proyecto Paria, Campamento Arekuna o San Pedro del Río.
El Campamento Arekuna esta ubicado en Canaima, el cual es uno de los parques nacionales más visitados por los eco-turistas. Actualmente funciona a base de energía solar, desde la purificación del agua hasta la fabricación del hielo. Este campamento, fue desarrollado con una verdadera visión ecológica para así tener un mínimo impacto en el ecosistema.
Ahora bien, algo que se debe recordar es que Venezuela es un país amazónico, su majestuosa selva representa un escenario perfecto para el ecoturismo. En el estado Amazonas se cuenta con posadas y campamentos cercanos a los más hermosos paisajes tropicales, los petroglifos y las comunidades indígenas.

Si usted es uno de esos turistas que le gusta el sol, mar y playas de ensueño, en nuestro país tiene a Los Roques que es una de las islas más demandadas por ser un destino ecoturístico por excelencia. Esta isla cuenta con playas en donde se puede disfrutar de una acuarela de azules, servicios aéreos directos y por el ofrecimiento de un hospedaje confortable en distintas posadas que se ajustan a sus necesidades. En este archipiélago se pueden efectuar diversas actividades al aire libre como el buceo, snorkelling y la pesca deportiva ya que cuenta actualmente con setenta posadas y ocho líneas aéreas

Thanks to the wide diversity of our nature that comprises beaches, mountains, desert lands, forests, lakes, rivers, and exotic flora and fauna, our country is an ideal place for the ecological tourism. The ecotourism provides not only adventure but a means of preserving the delicate ecological balance of the world's remaining wild places. If you consider yourself an ecotourist with the need to get rid of stress and escape from the overpopulation and lack of space so typical of big cities, then you should not fail to visit some of Venezuela’s ecotourism areas where you will be in direct contact with the riches of our nature. Venezuela is one of the most advanced countries as regards conservation of natural resources, more than 40% of the Venezuelan territory it is in condition of protected areas, refuges and reservations of water, natural monuments and forest reservations. Our country have forty-two national parks, twenty-one natural monument, several forest reserves, and six major biomes: the plains, the jungle, the Great Savannah, the Andes, the coast and xerophytic zone. More than twenty-five ecosystems are concentrated in 910,050 square kilometers.

The most important ecological tourism destinations in our country include Los Roques Archipelago, La Tortuga Island, the Paria Project, the Arekuna Camp, and San Pedro del Río.
The Arekuna Camp is located in the Gran Sabana to the north of Canaima, which is one of the national parks most visited by ecotourists. At present, this camp’s operations, from water processing to ice making, depend on solar energy. The development of this camp was guided by a truly ecological vision. Proof of this vision is that even the cleansing agents and soaps used in this camp are biodegradable, i.e., easily absorbed by the environment’s living organisms, and all supplies are repacked before their disposal to keep garbage to a minimum and thus minimize its impact upon the ecosystem.

In addition, it should be kept in mind that Venezuela is an Amazonian country, and its majestic rainforest stages a perfect scenery for the ecological tourism. In Amazonas state there are many inns and camps located near the most impressive tropical landscapes, petroglyphs and native Indian communities. Also, the Canaima National Park is located in the Bolívar state, and it's one of the most popular places for ecotourism, as mentioned above.

If you are one of those travelers in love with dream beaches, the sun and the sea, our country offers you the Los Roques Archipelago National Park, which comprises a group of the most beloved islands as they are the ultimate example of an ecotourism destination.
